A thank-you note
It is with delight and pride the Gaelbhratach team launch ‘Is Féidir Linn’ an exciting new project. One of the primary aims of Gaelbhratach is to support schools that are trying to promote the use of Irish outside the classroom – and parents, guardians and family life in general ar at the heart of this principle aim. The project first generated from conversations amongst the team regarding how we could provide more support to parents as they were home schooling at the beginning of the pandemic.
We at Gaelbhratach were delighted with the response to our series #GaeilgeSaBhaile – that provided simple phrasres for the daily routine of family life on social media. Our outlook for this project mirrored that of Áine Ní Shuilleabháin’s in her book Bróga Nua, a collection of 100 songs and rhymes for children. It is through partnership between Gaelbhratach, Áine andTreasa Ní Ailpín that Is Féidir Linn came to life. We are extremely grateful to Áine and Treasa for their expertise agus creativity from the beginning of this project.
We would like to thank Gael Linn, Foras na Gaeilge and the Department of Education for their continued support. This project is funded by Foras na Gaeilge.
We hope that you enjoy putting this resource to good use at home, no matter how much or how little Irish you have. Is féidir linn le chéile!
